SOUTH BEND – Yesterday, South Bend country music radio station B100 celebrated its 20th birthday with a free concert at the St. Joseph County Fairgrounds, which featured performances from Rodney Atkins, Blackhawk, Eric Paslay, Jon Pardi & The Cadillac Three.
According to a recent press release, at this year’s event, just 19 people were arrested or cited by Indiana State Excise Police on substance-related charges. This is a significant improvement over last year’s event where 61 concert-goers were arrested.
Of those 19, six minors were arrested for illegal possession or consumption of alcohol, while only three adults were arrested for making alcohol available to minors. A half dozen minors were cited for underage tobacco consumption. And only four arrests were made for possession of marijuana.
Excise police are an enforcement division of Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission. They promote public safety by cracking down on offender’s Indiana’s Alcohol Beverage Code.
