The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department received an anonymous tip yesterday evening regarding the potential location of an active warrant suspect. Sheriff Deputies responded shortly before 6 p.m. at the location 10496 S. School Ave., Silver Lake, and were met at the front door by Ashton Phillip Krider, 21, McClure Drive, Silver Lake. Krider was immediately taken into custody on a felony warrant for failure to appear regarding a probation violation.

During the course of the arrest, officers denoted the strong odor commonly associated with the production of methamphetamine. Officers located items associated with meth production at the residence, along with finished methamphetamine hidden inside a kitchen oven. Krider was transported to the Kosciusko County Jail and preliminarily charged with felony manufacturing of methamphetamine, along with the outstanding Kosciusko County warrant, no bond.

Miller was arrested and preliminarily charged with felony possession of methamphetamine as well as visiting a common nuisance. She is currently being held on a $2,000 bond in the Kosciusko County Jail.

The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office advises that the defendant’s charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
