The armed suspect in the robbery of Low Bob’s on June 18 is in the Elkhart County Detention Center.
Johnathan Michael Evans, 31, 723 W. Blaine Ave., Elkhart, was arrested by Elkhart Police and booked on a 2009 burglary charge, according to booking records. He is being held on no bond.
Warsaw Police Department Detectives obtained information that lead them to Evans location in Elkhart.
On Tuesday evening Warsaw Police, Indiana State Police and Elkhart Police performed surveillance and identified Evans in Elkhart.
When Evans observed officers he became spooked and fled in a stolen car that became disabled after the oil pan was torn off. He fled on foot and was taken into custody.
