Scott Patrick Wippel
Scott Patrick Wippel, 48, 778 E. Mock Road, Milford, has been charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon, a level 5 felony, after he threatened his wife with a Turkey Samurai Sword early Saturday morning.
Police received a 911 call at 12:29 a.m. Saturday to the Mock Road residence, after Wippel’s wife called police to report he was going after her with a knife.
When police arrived Wippel was standing in the front door of the home and told police to “get up here and talk to me.” He stated to police they had better find the kid he was chasing before he did, indicating he would assault the individual. The other male individual had allegedly been allowed to stay in the basement of the home for a period of time.
Wippel told police he found his wife having sex with the other male in the basement of their home. Upon that discovery, Wippel went to his bedroom and obtained a Turkey Samurai sword and chased the other male outside the residence. The sword is 2 feet in length with a 6-inch wooden and silver handle. Police did retrieve the sword.
Police were given a similar story by the wife, who added he threatened to kill her while touching her neck and stomach with the knife. She called 911 when he tried to locate the other male. She disconnected from the 911 call when he re-entered the home, fearful he would kill her for calling. Wippel continued to threaten her with the sword until police arrived.
The victim told police she is fearful once he is released from jail, he would certainly kill her. There was also a child present during the assault and heard Wippel threatening to kill the female.
The other male individual was not located.
